What Kind of Air Filter do I Need?

One of the first things you learn when you begin working in the auto parts industry is that nothing is simple. The next thing you learn is that anyone who is asking your help in looking up auto parts will automatically assume it is simple and get upset with you when you ask several questions to get them the right part.

Automotive engineers seem to be an especially sadistic sort that loves to create options, changes, and supercessions with the express intention of making auto parts hard to look up correctly. Add to that the multitude of people who modify cars from stock and then don't tell the new owner of the changes, and it looks like our parts experts are less than trained.

All that being said, what I would like to ask from our customers is a little patience for the sometimes seemingly redundant questions asked when looking up a part. We have found that it is much better to ask the questions up front to make sure you get the right part, than to just send what is normally used in that application. It saves frustration and time and money with returns and extra orders. The catalog we have online is a good one, but a small percentage of the time the questions get confusing. Our parts experts have access to many more online and paper catalogs and their experience truly helps. If there is ANY question about which auto parts you nedd, please call ... we will be more than happy to help !!
