Is Ford Reconsidering the GT Again?

This article from Jalopnik stretches an ambiguous quote from a Ford executive into the possibility of a new Ford GT program. We all can see the logic in beginning to remarket this platform, but American car companies have not always fallen squarely into the logical arena. You have to respect many of Ford's recent decisions so hopefully this will come to fruition. They have also floated the possibility of an "electric" drivetrain... Let's keep our fingers crossed.

6 Wheel Cars Aren't a New Idea...

This Panther 6 from 1977 sports a 6 wheel (4 in the front) design that looks very much like the new version I posted earlier today. I am just not sure what the perceived benefits might be. I see more weight, more complications, more cost and less feel... but maybe that is what they were going for? Thanks to Classicandperformancecar.com for the pictures and article.

A sad day...

This article on Jalopnik shares a story of a car owner that took his car to a renowned shop for "tuning" of the engine systems so that he could get the most out of it. When he got the e-mail that said basically "I am about to take it out on a test drive can you send me a copy of the insurance card?" he should have known better. Reading the excuses is pretty funny / sad. I never want to see a classic trashed like this... especially not a mint Ford GT.
