If you have followed this blog for any amount of time you will surely know that we love the Ford Mustang here at Rightnowautoparts.com. I found this video from Ford Motor Company on Youtube and figured I would post it here for your enjoyment. We also highlight a Mustang at the top of our page. What do you think... Should they send me a free one out of sheer gratitude? It is worth a shot...

How Does Batman Buy Auto Parts?

We all know that when Bruce Wayne needs his car worked on it would be Alfred that picks up the phone and orders the auto parts for the Rolls Royce (Are they a Rolls or Bentley family?) I kind of think that Alfred would have to be a cross trained Butler/Driver/Cook just to keeps things confidential. But what happens when Batman wants to work on his Sunday driver?
Surely he keeps more than just the Batmobile in that vast Cave are under the mansion? Like the rest of us, he probably has his "work" car and then his "fun" car (not saying the Batmobile isn't fun, but I think you know what I mean). In that context I can see Batman rolling out from under this custom Mustang, grease on the exposed area of his mask, and calling the Ford dealership in Gotham City for a new serpentine belt for his blower(s).
With that in mind I feel it is my duty to let him know that he could save tons of money on those Ford parts by looking up that Motorcraft belt on rightnowautoparts.com. Better yet, since it is obvious those blowers are aftermarket, he would probably need to call 888-921-9154 so one of our auto parts specialist could help him find the correct parts. Our online ordering system would then be used, because it is entirely encrypted and secure, and the car parts would be delivered upstairs to the mansion. I mean, just because he is a millionaire does not mean he doesn't enjoy working on his own cars... there is just something fulfilling about bolting the final auto parts onto your project car and then cranking it up for a drive...

Eleanor Calling?

Once I hit the lottery and begin hoarding Mustangs, this model will be one of the first two or three that I purchase. Who doesn't love the 67 Shelby Mustang GT500 Fastback, and who wouldn't love the modifications that are done to this beautiful example. Thanks for autoambush.com for sharing !!

Jalopnik remains one of my favorite sources for interesting, quirky, car guy stories. This one caught my eye because of the ultimate audacity glimpsed in the picture... "Oh My God, What is that?". Click through to their story if you feel the same as me. Jalopnik Mustang Wagon?

ACDelco & Motorcraft vs. GM & Ford Parts
Rightnowautoparts.com is a wholesale warehouse distributor of AC Delco and Motorcraft auto parts for GM and Ford vehicles. Sometimes it can be confusing when a customer would like to buy a part for their GM or Ford car and we don't stock it. Sooo, I figured it might be good for me to put in writing the difference between the two.
AC Delco is an auto parts division of General Motors. They are tasked with making sure parts are available for Dealerships and Auto repair shops when a GM vehicle needs to be repaired. AC Delco covers the most replaced parts for service, like tune up pieces, alternators, starters, filters, radiators, ac parts, modules, switches, etc.. These parts only make up about 25%-40% of the actual parts on a vehicle, but typically are the pieces replaced in over 90% of the repairs needed. Our place in this distribution process is to make sure the parts are available as close to the replacement need as possible so that when a car goes down, the part can be there on the same or next day. GM "Dealer Only" parts would be items such as glass, body panels, interior pieces, emblems, wheels, etc..
A very similar business distribution model is also in place with Ford. Motorcraft is an auto parts division of Ford Motor Company. They are tasked with making sure parts are available for Dealerships and Auto repair shops when a Ford vehicle needs to be repaired. Hopefully this helps clear up a little about why we are here and which pieces are available from us. If there is any confusion I have always suggested to find the part number first at a dealership and at least type it into our search to see if we have it. If we stock it you should be able to save quite a bit of money. If we don't then be thankful the dealership is there to help source those hard to find parts. We are all part of the same distribution chain, put in place by the manufacturers to make sure your vehicle is repaired as quickly as possible, with the highest quality O.E. auto parts available. If Rightnowautoparts.com can also help you save money in the process then that would be great as well!!

Ford to Shut Down it's Mercury Brand

Ford Motor Co. said it will discontinue its 71-year-old Mercury brand by the end of the year and expand its Lincoln lineup with a new small car.
Ford’s board voted today to cease production of all four of Mercury’s models in the fourth quarter, Mark Fields, the automaker’s president of the Americas, told reporters. Ford will send letters to 1,712 Mercury dealers this week offering them buyouts and giving some the chance to merge the Lincoln half of their franchise with Ford showrooms, he said.
“Given our improving financial situation, it really allows us to absorb the short-term cost of discontinuing Mercury,” Field said, declining to reveal the expected expense. “We’re very proud of Mercury’s history, but we’re now looking forward.”

Build your Mustang GT into a Shelby Killer
Auto enthusiasts that love to build cars seem to be drawn to the Ford Mustang. With widely available mods that create huge performance gains and bolt right on, it does seem a logical choice. This video is long, but if you are a Mustang lover I think you will like it. Turn up the speakers and enjoy!

Ford Full WIFI Rolling Hot Spot

Ford Full Wi-Fi Access will make models equipped with this option mobile hotspots. The main screen in the vehicle will only be functional when the vehicle is stopped and in park, but occupants with laptops (children in the back seat) will still have full access. This may actually put and end to "Are we there yet?"
